Overview:
This lesson is focused on Balancing a Personal Checkbook. Students will create a checkbook project from start to finish. Students will work with check and ATM withdrawals, deposits, writing checks, as well as balancing and reconciling their debits and deposits. Students will encounter real-world bills such as a home mortgage, auto payment, utilities, groceries, gas, entertainment experiences, and well as savings. The lesson will conclude with a student self-reflection on their learning and understandings from this project.
